Willy Freeman Chapter 1

In chapter 1, it starts off with Willy explaining that she is living in the middle of the Civil War. Her mother constantly makes her change her clothes (Hmm, strange), and her father is off fighting.

The way they talk
Setting/ what kind of house are they living in? is it fancy?

Hi, The book my group is reading right now is "War Comes to Willy Freeman" written by James Collier. This book was exciting and catchy and I enjoyed reading it. Some parts were suspenseful, and other parts had a lot of action.
